Writer's Workshop

The students are currently working on writing narratives in Writer's Workshop.  We have been discussing how the use of similies, metaphors, imagery, and dialogue helps to make writing "come alive" for the reader.  The students favorite, however, was the use of onomatopoeia.  They LOVED coming up with examples of it during our mini-lesson time.

                     Here are Olivia and Andrew hard at work on their narratives.
